Split up the code formatting FAQ entry

Today, Bug in formatting code was posted, and closed as a duplicate. Following the links eventually leads to the FAQ entry, How do I format my code blocks? .

The issue here is that the answer for the latter is prohibitively long. Ideally, OP could have been directed straight to the sub-section in the answer about "Code within a numbered or bulleted list" (since that was the issue at hand). The overall answer was already long before my edit (to add information about how to handle it with code fences).

Even if it weren't policy for FAQ entries to have a single answer post, simply splitting the answer wouldn't suffice: while we can link specific answers, we can't use them as duplicate targets.

Instead, I propose that the main <h2> headings in that answer should become prompts for new FAQ questions, and the corresponding text moved to their answers. Then the main question (or its answer) should include a "see also" reference for the specific cases.
